Built to Remember Stories

Every message costs you twice. Once in markup, once in memory.

A BSP resells Meta's API at a markup you pay on top of Meta's own rate. But the quieter cost is this: your conversations live in their cloud. Walk away, and your customer history stays behind. Klaros removes both. You pay Meta directly, own every conversation, and leave any time with everything.

What does the markup really cost you?

Every BSP resells Meta messaging at a markup. You pay Meta's base rate either way. Drag the sliders to see the part you only pay because there's a middleman.

Billable template/marketing sends only. Free 24h-window replies are $0 on either tool.

Independent reports put typical BSP markups at ~15–25%. Klaros markup = 0%.

Pure reseller margin on top of Meta’s price, for messages you already pay Meta to send. Excludes their subscription fee.

Try it free on a second number, compare your real bill, then take your data and leave if it’s not for you. A reseller can’t offer that.

Illustrative, using figures you control above. Excludes each provider's platform/subscription fee and your own (typically minimal) Cloudflare hosting. Verify current rates with Meta and each provider. Figures: Meta conversation pricing, rate tables.

At low marketing volume, a BSP's subscription vs our flat license can be a wash. The markup savings dominate once you send enough billable templates. If you're low-volume, the reason to choose Klaros is ownership and compliance, not price.

Feature for feature, including where BSPs win

A comparison that only flatters us isn't worth reading. Here is the real picture as of August 2026. The self-deployment, full-export, and consent-ledger rows are what "remembering your customers" looks like in practice: verifiable, row by row.

Where we stand: the honest scorecard

Our own read of where Klaros leads, matches, and lags versus a typical BSP. We'd rather you see it now than discover it later.

Is Klaros right for you? An honest filter.

The fastest way to decide. We'd rather you stay on a BSP than switch and be disappointed.

Choose Klaros

High-volume marketing sender

The 15–25% you pay on every template becomes zero. At scale that's thousands a year back in your pocket.

Choose Klaros

Data-sensitive / regulated

Your contacts, conversations and consent records live in your own infrastructure. Export anything, prove your compliance.

Choose Klaros

Agency / reseller

Self-deploy per client, pass Meta's true rate through, and keep the margin a BSP currently takes from you.

Choose Klaros

Developer or integration team

A real headless API with named keys, scoped permissions, and OpenAPI codegen. Wire WhatsApp into your own product in an afternoon. One company connected their identity-verification backend: KYC completion fires a milestone, Klaros sends the confirmation from their number. No BSP SDK, no per-call fees.

Choose Klaros

Lock-in-averse operator

A WhatsApp platform you can pick up and walk away with. Run it yourself, leave any time, no hostages.

A BSP may be better, for now

You need native checkout or WhatsApp Pay today

Product catalog, cart-to-order tracking, and payment requests through your own gateway are live on Klaros. What's still missing is in-chat checkout that skips a payment gateway entirely. If that's core to your sales, most BSPs have it and we don't yet.

A BSP may be better, for now

You need a visual bot builder or enterprise RBAC today

A visual drag-and-drop chatbot builder or a 50+ agent inbox with department-level queue routing and SLA timers is live on most BSPs. Klaros has WhatsApp Flows, auto-assignment routing (round-robin, least-busy, sticky, skill-based), and admin/agent roles, but not a visual bot builder or enterprise-grade RBAC yet.

The fair questions

Isn't self-deploying hard if I'm not technical?

You keep your own WhatsApp/Meta account, but you don't have to run servers alone. Our managed onboarding stands the deployment up, connects and verifies your number, and sets up your first templates with you. You get the ownership without the sysadmin work.

You're newer than most BSPs. Why risk it?

Fair. Klaros runs in production today with proven outbound, inbound, delivery tracking and live cost accounting. And the risk is capped by the one promise a reseller can't make: full export and self-deployment mean if it's not for you, you take your data and leave. You can't do that with a BSP.

What about migrating from my current BSP?

You keep your existing Meta account and number. No new cold number. We migrate your contacts and consent state with you, and you can run Klaros on a second number side-by-side with your current BSP first to compare your real bill before committing.

I'm a developer. How does the API compare to Twilio or a BSP's API?

Klaros gives you a full REST API with 97 endpoints covering every resource (contacts, segments, campaigns, sequences, inbox, products). Named API keys with three permission scopes (send, read, manage), OpenAPI 3.1 spec for codegen, HMAC-signed webhooks with retry and DLQ, idempotency keys, rate-limit headers. Most BSPs either gate API access behind enterprise tiers, offer a thin send-only pipe, or charge per API call. Klaros includes the full API on every plan at zero additional cost.

My BSP has a feature you don't. Now what?

We'll tell you straight: it's either on our near roadmap, it doesn't apply to your use case, or there's a workaround. We won't pretend a feature exists. If a visual drag-and-drop flow builder, a Shopify-style checkout, or enterprise-grade department routing with SLA timers is essential to you today, a BSP is the better choice, for now. (The branching engine behind the flow builder is already live; it's specifically the drag-and-drop canvas that's still ahead.) Auto-assignment routing with round-robin, least-busy, and sticky strategies, AI auto-reply, auto-translation, and commerce (orders, multi-item payment requests, order tracking with any payment provider) are all live.

Your stories. Your savings. Your call.

Run Klaros next to your current BSP on a second number. Compare the bill. Keep your data and every conversation either way.
