The best WhatsApp CRM without per-message markup, compared

A WhatsApp CRM has no per-message markup when it charges a software fee and passes Meta's per-message rate through unchanged. Several platforms do, including Klaros, WANotifier, GetGabs, YCloud and respond.io, and which fits depends on your team size, your country, and whether you want to own the WhatsApp account yourself. This guide compares published prices checked on 4 October 2026, shows how much extra some platforms charge, and gives you three questions to check any vendor in writing. Klaros is one of the options, and the guide says where it is the wrong choice.

The short answer, by situation

What no markup does and does not mean

Meta charges for WhatsApp messages by category and destination. In India, on the rate cards checked, Meta's charge was ₹0.8631 for a marketing message and ₹0.115 for a utility message. A platform adds a markup when it charges more than that per message. Zero markup does not make messaging free, and it does not say anything about the platform's own subscription, seat or contact fees.

There is a second trap. A platform can add no percentage to Meta's rate and still charge a flat fee of its own on every message. That is not a markup on Meta's rate, but it is a per-message charge, so ask for both in writing.

What a markup costs: published India rates

Two platforms publish per-message rates that can be set against Meta's. The table shows 10,000 marketing messages a month to India at each published rate. The software subscription is extra in every case.

SourceMarketing rate10,000 messagesAbove Meta
Meta's published India rate₹0.8631₹8,631baseline
Interakt, Growth plan₹0.958₹9,580₹949 (11%)
AiSensy₹1.09₹10,900₹2,269 (26%)
Klaros, WANotifier, GetGabs, YCloudMeta's rate₹8,631₹0 stated

On utility messages the gap is wider in percentage terms: Meta's ₹0.115 against ₹0.145 at AiSensy (26% more) and ₹0.150 on Interakt's Growth plan (30% more). A higher subscription can still be the cheaper choice if it carries no markup, and a cheaper subscription can cost more at volume. At 10,000 marketing messages a month the AiSensy gap alone is about ₹27,000 a year.

Where Klaros fits, and where it does not

Most zero-markup platforms are managed services that choose not to add a margin. Klaros is built so that it cannot: you connect your own WhatsApp Business Account to Meta, Meta bills you directly, and no messaging payment passes through Klaros. It is licensed software, not open source. It runs as a hosted, single-tenant instance or self-deployed on your own Cloudflare account, and it includes a REST API with an OpenAPI specification on every plan.

It is the wrong choice if you want a vendor to run everything for you, need native in-chat checkout, want a visual drag-and-drop bot builder today, or need Instagram and Facebook in the same inbox. The Why Klaros page sets out what you own, the full cost and the limits, and the alternatives hub compares Klaros with each platform above.

Three questions to ask any vendor

  1. Does my business own the WhatsApp Business Account, the phone number and the templates?
  2. Does Meta bill my business directly, or does the vendor charge exactly Meta's rate with nothing added?
  3. Does the invoice show zero per-message WhatsApp fee from the vendor, with every other charge listed separately?

A vendor that cannot answer yes to all three in writing is not offering zero markup in the strict sense, however it advertises. Ask for an itemised invoice for a month of 10,000 marketing messages and compare it with Meta's rate card.

Questions buyers ask
What does no per-message markup mean on WhatsApp?

It means the platform bills its own software fee and passes Meta's per-message rate through unchanged, with Meta billing your WhatsApp Business Account directly or the platform charging exactly Meta's rate. It does not mean messaging is free: Meta still charges for every marketing, utility and authentication message, and from 1 October 2026 service messages too.

Is zero markup the same as no per-message fee?

No. A platform can add no percentage to Meta's rate and still charge its own flat fee per message. Ask for an itemised invoice for a month of sending: Meta's charge, then the platform's charge, with nothing blended into a single per-message price.

How much more than Meta do some platforms charge in India?

On published rate cards checked on 4 October 2026, Meta's India rates were 0.8631 rupees for a marketing message and 0.115 rupees for a utility message. AiSensy listed 1.09 and 0.145 rupees, about 26 percent above Meta on both. Interakt's Growth plan listed 0.958 and 0.150 rupees, about 11 percent above on marketing and 30 percent above on utility. Rates change, so confirm before you buy.

Which WhatsApp CRMs state zero markup?

On their own pricing pages WANotifier, GetGabs and YCloud state zero markup on Meta's WhatsApp charges, respond.io states that WhatsApp fees are billed by Meta and not included in its plans, Interakt states it for its Enterprise tier only, and Klaros is structurally outside the payment path because you connect your own WhatsApp Business Account to Meta.

Why is Klaros different from the other zero-markup options?

Klaros is self-deployed: it runs on your own Cloudflare account against your own WhatsApp Business Account, so there is no messaging payment passing through it that could carry a markup. Most zero-markup platforms are managed services that choose not to add one. Klaros is newer, WhatsApp-only, and has no visual drag-and-drop bot builder yet.

How do I check a vendor really adds no markup?

Ask three questions in writing. Does my business own the WhatsApp Business Account and phone number? Does Meta bill my business directly, or at exactly Meta's rate? Does the invoice show zero per-message WhatsApp fee from the vendor? Then compare their invoice with Meta's rate card for the same month.
