Do I need a Cloudflare account?
Yes — Klaros deploys to your own Cloudflare account (free tier works for getting started). This is what makes it self-hosted: your data lives in infrastructure you control, not ours. If you'd rather not manage that, our managed onboarding handles the setup for you.
Can I keep my existing WhatsApp number?
Yes. Klaros connects to your existing WhatsApp Business Account and number via Meta's official embedded signup. Coexistence means you can keep using the WhatsApp Business app on the same number — both work side by side.
What happens if I stop using Klaros?
You export your contacts and conversations (full CSV, any time), disconnect the WhatsApp integration, and keep your Meta account. Your data stays in your Cloudflare account — we never hold it. No lock-in, no exit fee.
How is this different from using the WhatsApp Cloud API directly?
The Cloud API gives you a raw messaging pipe. Klaros adds everything around it: a shared inbox, contact management, broadcast tools, consent enforcement, a cost dashboard, webhooks, and a REST API — all self-hosted. Think of it as the product layer a developer would have to build themselves.
Is there a free trial?
Yes — start free with full functionality. You only pay for your own Meta messaging costs (which go directly to Meta, not us). The trial lets you connect your number, send real messages, and evaluate the platform before committing to an annual license.
