What is your provider's markup actually costing you?

Most WhatsApp Business API providers bill you Meta's per-message charge plus their own margin: usually 15–25%, billed through their platform so you never see the split. Enter your monthly message volume below to see the two halves separately. Nothing is stored, and you don't need an account.

20%

Slide this to match what you believe your provider adds. We default to 20%: the middle of the range typical resellers charge. If you know your real figure, use it.

Why Klaros can't mark this up even if we wanted to.

You connect your own WhatsApp Business Account and your own Meta billing. Meta charges you directly; we are never in the payment path. That isn't a pricing promise we could revise later: it's a consequence of the architecture. We charge a flat licence and nothing per message. See pricing →

How this is calculated

Meta bills per message, at a rate that depends on the destination country and the category of the message. We multiply your volume by Meta's published rate for the market you picked, then apply the markup percentage you selected to show what a reseller would add on top.

Upcoming Platform Change: October 1, 2026 Service and Utility Billing

Under Meta's current platform rules, non-template service messages inside the 24-hour window are free on Meta's side, and so are utility templates delivered inside an open window. Starting October 1, 2026, Meta charges for both, so no free reply path remains inside an open conversation. The estimate above does not yet price that in, and the arithmetic is not difficult: Meta prices a service message at the same rate as utility and authentication for the destination country, with no volume tiers. So multiply the replies you expect to send inside an open window by that country's utility rate and add it. Nothing else in the estimate moves, because the markup you are not paying is zero either way. Because Klaros operates on a 0% markup model, you will pay that rate directly with zero vendor surcharge. Resellers adding 15 to 25% markups will apply those margins to every customer reply. Track Meta's WhatsApp 2026 Roadmap & Billing Changes →

These rates were derived from real WhatsApp billing, not a published list, but they are still an estimate, not a quote. Your own invoice depends on your exact message mix and any agreement you hold with Meta. Once you're sending through Klaros, the in-app cost dashboard replaces this estimate with your real billed figures: computed by the same code that produced the numbers above. The reconciliation behind those figures, and the defects it caught in our own billing, is in this build note.
